Dante's Way
between nature and culture
Named the best walk in the world in 2021 by Lonely Planet guidebooks, the Cammino di Dante (Dante's Way) connects Ravenna to Florence along a beautiful route between nature and culture.
The trip begins at the Tomba di Dante (Dante's Tomb) in Ravenna, less than 30 kilometers from Hotel Commodore and easily reachable by car, and is 400 kilometers long.
The stages tell the story of the great poet, there where he drew inspiration to write some parts of the Divina Commedia (Divine Comedy).
Medieval paths, small unspoiled villages, scenic trackless trains where you can admire the natural beauty of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines between Dovadola, Portico di Romagna, Premilcuore, Brisighella until the most famous Florentine capital, Florence.
In the middle of a walk among hermitages and ancient castles, starting from the sea and crossing the beautiful Parco delle Foreste Casentinesi (Casentino Forest Park).
A slow experience suitable for history lovers, excursionists, cyclists and trail runners, following the paths that tell the story of the landscape, from the salt of Cervia to the fir and beech forests that surround the evocative Eremo di Camaldoli (Hermitage of Camaldoli).
Take on the Cammino di Dante (Dante's Way) by setting off from Cervia.
